The second part of the series was held at St James’ Church, Islington on February 27th, 2026. This time featuring the church organ and grand piano in conjunction with live electronics. Sound sources included shortwave transmissions, processed vocal recordings, and noise; extending the same sensibility around movement and sound to a church space.
Unlike the tight claustrophobia of Part 1, exemplified by collages of stifled respiratory recordings in the black box studio at Chisenhale. The duo opted for an expansive and shimmering first half in this performance, electronic oscillators interweaving amongst the expansive drones of the organ. The resonant church space itself was treated as a lung this time, playing host to an array of sonic disruptions and disturbances in the latter half.
